Demand for salmon fuels Norway's consumer staples sector.

An entire index fueled by fish: Norway’s consumer staples sector is populated entirely by salmon-seafood companies. Per an article in the WSJ, growing demand from regions that previously shunned salmon and a growing middle class in certain emerging markets have caused prices to take off:

“Fueled by salmon, the Oslo All-Share has outperformed other European markets this year. The index is currently up 10% year to date, against a 4.66% return on the S&P 500 and a fall of 1% on the Stoxx Europe 600.”
